Managing for better performance
2 day course 9.30 am to 4 pm. Course fee £395 plus VAT.
All fees must be received before attendance.

People in a supervisory position often hate giving feedback to poor performers; hate disciplinary interviews; hate dealing with negativity and don't know how to motivate and coach their staff to peak performance. We go straight to the heart of these issues (and more!) and explore proven ways of managing them.

  • Identify the key skills and qualities needed for an effective supervisor
  • Motivate your staff in a variety of ways
  • Identify where performance in team members needs developing
  • Identify common supervisory problems and be able to identify options for managing them
  • Give feedback to team members in a constructive and motivating manner
  • Choose and use a variety of tools to improve performance
  • Distinguish between assertive, passive and aggressive behaviour
  • Reflect upon and use `core` interpersonal skills more effectively
  • Boost your own self confidence and self esteem and that of your staff
  • Use a `Learning Conversation` to improve performance
  • Disarm anger if things get heated
  • Increase your own personal effectiveness using a variety of influencing techniques
  • Make every contact with your staff a `quality` one which enhances relationships and improves the working climate
