Executive Presentations and
Public Speaking
2
day course 9.30 am to 4 pm. Course fee £395 plus VAT.
All
fees must be received before attendance.
We
have had a number of requests for a two day presentation skills
course that will enable a more in depth approach than our usual
one day courses – Perfect Presentations, Presentations for
the Petrified and Life after Death by PowerPoint. We are therefore
planning to run one called Executive Presentations and Public Speaking
on Monday 17th May & Tuesday 18th May at the Abbey Hotel, Malvern,
WR14 3ET, 9.30am – 4.30pm. Price £395 + VAT.
We
plan to restrict numbers to give plenty of individual attention
and everyone is invited to bring along past, present and future
presentations. The course is aimed at anyone who has to give presentations
or speak in public and the course is suitable for both the inexperienced
and advanced presenter as there will be plenty of individual and
small group work which will take delegates experience into account.
The
workshop will be led by professional presenters and actors. They
will show everyone how to avoid the usual turn-offs and instead
really engage their audience by structuring their presentation in
a user friendly way. Using the latest technology we will show delegates
how to use their voice to its maximum potential. We will show them
how to use PowerPoint and supporting material in a way that really
adds value to their presentation!
By
the end of the course everyone will have had loads of hands on practical
sessions and workshops that will dramatically improve their presentations.
The
objectives are that by the end of the course delegates will have:
-
Identified the biggest turn-offs in presentations and ways of
avoiding them
-
Learned how to make an audience focussed presentation
-
Practiced using their voice using the techniques of professional
actors
-
Improved their vocal delivery for maximum effect
-
Learned effective techniques for structuring (and remembering)
their presentations
-
Learned how to make their presentations run to time
Improved their connection with the audience
-
Learned how to use supporting material effectively
-
Learned how to use PowerPoint and visual material to its maximum
effect
-
Learned tips and tricks to change PowerPoint from a passive to
an active medium
-
Learned how to keep the audience in “think” rather
than “listen” mode
-
Learned and practiced how to raise a routine presentation to an
excellent truly memorable presentation
-
Identified strategies for managing common fears, from forgetting
where you are to handling difficult audience members!
